13-Year-Old Harvard-Westlake Student Fatally Hit In An Alleged Hit-And-Run Accident In Los Angeles

A 13-year-old Harvard-Westlake student was struck by a driver in Los Angeles (Brentwood to be specific) at about 7:20 a.m. and later died at the hospital; investigators are calling the accident a hit-and-run. According to authorities, the girl was crossing the intersection of Sunset Blvd. near Cliffwood Dr. against a red light when she was struck by the car. Authorities then confirmed that the driver of the Mercedes got out of the car and talked to the mother before allegedly fleeing the scene.

A second car, a black Toyota, was behind the Mercedes, but it is unclear as to whether that car also struck the girl after the first car. The driver of the Toyota was with four passengers and they got out to talk to the mother, but they also left before authorities arrived at the scene.
