During his confusing interaction with the Los Angeles police, Huerta asked, how can you not see that Im not a criminal?
When a person is taken to a Los Angeles County jail, the authorities run a check to see if the new inmate is an immigrant. In a case like Huertas, where the name is the same as a criminals name, problems can arise. If the inmate is deemed to be an immigrant, they can even be started on the deportation process.
