The 51 year old woman living in Palos Verdes entered the plea in Los Angeles federal court in response to filing a false federal income tax return in 2003. The woman acknowledged failing to report about $1 million in income from her business on the returns she filed from 2003 through 2005, resulting in a loss of income of over $380,000 for the IRS. She faces a maximum sentence of three years in federal prison and a fine of $250,000 when she returns to court for sentencing on September 19. According to her plea agreement, she maintained several bank accounts, including accounts in the name of her business, and deposited income into these accounts.
