Rapper T.I. Arrested for Drug Possession

Rapper T.I. and his wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle are in need of a skilled Los Angeles Criminal Defense Attorney today after being arrested for drug possession following a routine traffic stop. Sheriff's deputies pulled over T.I. (real name Clifford Harris) and his wife on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood.

According to the sheriffs "during the course of the traffic stop, deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle." After allegedly smelling marijuana, police instituted a narcotics investigation and found a controlled substance in the car. The pair were taken to the West Hollywood's sheriff's department and booked on drug possession. T.I., whose hits include "Whatever You Like" and "Dead and Gone" is currently on probation after serving seven months in prison on weapons charges. He is starring in the film "Takers" and has an album coming out this year titled "King Uncaged."

The pair were released on $10,000 bail. While test results have not yet been announced, it appears the controlled substance they are going to be charged with is ecstasy. They were pulled over for making an illegal U-turn.
