Florida Woman Arrested for Armed RobberyPosted on: September 13, 2012 at 5:06 p.m.A Florida woman has been arrested on suspicion of armed robbery following a bizarre incident that involved a car crash last week. According to reports, Amanda Jean Linscott, who is 26 years old, met the victim at a bar in Port Charlotte, Florida from which she and an unidentified female friend left with three men after the bar closed. The group headed to a private residence where the victim of the alleged armed robbery and Linscott’s friend went into a bedroom to have sex. Linscott’s friend is said to have asked the victim for $250, which he claimed he didn’t have. The victim instead gave her $120 in cash and, when he went to the restroom, Linscott and her friend left the residence together. Several hours later, the male victim called Linscott’s friend’s cell phone and the two agreed to meet at a local convenience store. Upon arriving, however, the victim was greeted by Linscott alone, who told the victim her friend had left her. Linscott got into the victim’s vehicle in the early morning hours of September 3rd and began touching him and even having sex with him while the car was in motion. According to the victim, Linscott at some point demanded money. When he told her that he had already given her friend $120, Linscott is said to have pulled out a .357 Taurus revolver and put it to his head. A struggle ensued, during which the victim is said to have punched Linscott in the face, leaving her with a black eye. The victim lost control of his car, careening into a palm tree and driving through the front yards of two homes before finally coming to a stop. Linscott fled the scene on foot, while the victim managed to drive his wrecked car to a friend’s home, where he promptly called police. Local law enforcement agents arrived on the scene and swept the immediate area gathering statements and evidence. An elderly man in his driveway told police that his daughter had been in a car accident and had been punched in the face. After examining the car, including the gun Linscott had left behind, and other evidence Linscott was arrested one week later. She was booked into a Charlotte County Jail on charges of armed robbery and is currently being held without bond. No date has been announced as to when Linscott is expected to face charges in court.
